It quickly became apparent that I had picked a winner. While the choice of my attorney was initially born out of convenience, it quickly became apparent that I had picked a winner. I would highly recommend attorney Richard Sands to anyone seeking representation following a workplace injury. I was injured at work in 2013, receiving a deep cut on my nose. Because the injury resulted in a nasty scar, I decided to get an attorney to advocate for my rights. After an online search, I chose attorney Richard Sands because his website states “in most cases, it is free to have an experienced attorney represent you,” plus his office was in a convenient location to me. Most of my prior experiences with attorneys have been quite frustrating; however, my experience working with Richard Sands was extremely pleasant, from my initial consultation to the settlement of my case. Immediately, he put me at ease and explained the process clearly, in a no-nonsense manner that I appreciate. Richard was also very responsive when it came to follow up after the initial consult. Soon after meeting with him, he obtained authorization for me to consult with a plastic surgeon. Richard always promptly returned my phone calls and emails, which I cannot say about other attorneys I have dealt with. As soon as I was eligible to negotiate a settlement for the scarring to my nose, which was six months after the injury, Richard promptly arranged a meeting with the worker’s comp insurer to examine my scar. He negotiated on my behalf to obtain a higher settlement amount than the insurance company initially offered. Richard also explained the pros and cons of taking the case to worker’s compensation court, should I wish to go that route. In the end, I was satisfied with the settlement offer, and I was very pleased when I received a settlement check from the insurance company in just under one week, thanks to Richard expediting the case. The whole process went very smoothly and exactly as Richard described!
